Those of us who work in pro-life advocacy and / or pregnancy centers realize how important it is to speak to the heart of a woman in a crisis pregnancy. We work every day to help her understand that someone cares about her and her baby and that she will receive the support she needs if she moves forward with her pregnancy. But our biggest challenge comes after that woman heads home. It all begins and ends with the mother.
We wrote More Than Me - a book that women in crisis pregnancies can take to read and revisit – to help women feel the continued, loving embrace and support they first discover among advocates and at pro-life pregnancy centers. Using positive and inspiring words and artwork, More Than Me gives expectant mothers both hope and the courage to think for themselves and make informed decisions by reinforcing the importance of the baby inside the mother’s womb. More Than Me does not make a conflicted mother’s difficulties go away, but it helps her put her pregnancy in perspective. It also helps her recognize that two people, not one, are affected by the choices she makes.

Our hope is that they will read More Than Me over and over again, and that it will ultimately become a treasured keepsake – one that they can share with friends or possibly their child as he or she grows, and one that they can use as a personal diary (there are journal pages at the back of the book), where they can express their thoughts and feelings as they work through a major life change.
